As a Career and Progression Officer you will lead a client-centred vocational progression programme of careers education. Providing comprehensive information, advice, guidance and careers education. You will support the progression of existing and potential students to internal college programmes, employment, Higher Education, partner organisations or self-employment.

About You

The role is suited to a motivated individual with a background in careers guidance who is passionate about creating and delivering an inspiring and enriching careers provision. Someone who is dedicated to raising aspirations of young people and supporting them to overcome barriers to access opportunities.

You will be able to demonstrate creative thinking skills with the ability to build relationships quickly. Someone who can create and deliver enriching careers sessions for all students at the college, supporting strong work and academic outcomes. 

You will hold a Level 6 in Information Advice and Guidance or have a willingness to work towards the qualification.  

You will have a good understanding of Career Education and Guidance work in a Further Education environment, including Gatsby Benchmarks, and be confident in planning and delivering group workshops and presentations.
