About The Role

EKC Group are seeking to appoint supply lecturers to their approved staffing list. To respond to demand from the community and from employers we need flexible people looking for hourly-paid teaching and training roles who want to make a difference to our community in the following skills areas: Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.

Your role will also include providing support to learners to enable them to achieve their maximum potential and to lead as appropriate on designated study programmes and/or courses, with a key responsibility for ensuring the design, delivery and evaluation of programme.

Please note any addition to the approved staffing list is not a guarantee of employment. Once you have been interviewed and all pre-employment checks are in place you will then be placed within the supply pool of staff available for temporary work. If we have an opportunity that meets your skill set the recruiting Manager will contact you to discuss the opportunity.

Please note that our Supply Lecturers are paid £18 per hour worked and if planning and admin is required, a further half an hour may be claimed per hour of teaching. £135 is therefore for rate for 5 hours teaching with 2.5 hours of planning and admin.

  • You’ll be organised and creative with the ability to plan and teach engaging and innovative lessons.
  • You will have a level 3 qualification in your engineering discipline.
  • With your engineering knowledge, you can assess and track students’ progress, to further plan intervention. You’ll ensure all students develop the skills they need to succeed.

The successful candidate will be able to teach a range of designated study programs and/or courses from Level 1 up to Level 3 and will be able to motivate learners to achieve and succeed on their programmes of study
